Fine Art, Filmmaking & Other Stuff

Matt Abraxas is a fine artist, filmmaker and creative experimenter.

This site used to be dedicated to my fine art, but after 20 years, I felt overwhelmingly limited by the paintbrush.
I missed my other passion: the camera.
So now, MattAbraxas.com is now home to my fine art, filmmaking and other creative endeavors that offer a more well-rounded expression of what I have to offer.

I hope you find plenty to enjoy here.

Art isn’t a result; it’s a journey.  The challenge of our time is to find a journey worthy of your heart and your soul.”

When I see work by my favorite artists, I am seeing my own potential. Perhaps I will never realize this potential, but I nevertheless am inspired by what is already within me. I wonder if it's this way for everybody. We see what we could do if we only overcame whatever limitations are in us, and we feel a zesty excitement.

Improvement
